Danielle McDuffie is a freelance communications consultant specializing in nonprofit marketing, social media strategy, graphic design, and agricultural communications. Having previously served as Communications Coordinator for Florida Organic Growers and Consumers, Inc., McDuffie has intimate knowledge of the inner workings of nonprofit communications; knowledge she loves to share with her clients.
Deeply involved in her community, McDuffie sits on the board of the Alachua County Nutrition Alliance as well as the Communications Committee of the Alachua County Emerging Leaders. She also serves as Florida’s Food Day Coordinator, acting as liaison between event coordinators throughout the state and the national Food Day office at The Center for Science in the Public Interest in Washington, D.C.
McDuffie is also an accomplished singer, emcee, and voice over artist. She is available for studio work and live gigs.
McDuffie is involved in narcolepsy advocacy and is a member of the Narcolepsy Network. Teaching others about this life-altering disease is a mission she embarks on daily, in the hopes that awareness will bring the political will to find a cure.
In order to be close to her two children, McDuffie splits her time between her eldest son in Northern Michigan and her youngest son in Central Florida. A massive nerd, she adores all things Star Trek and is hopelessly in love with Captain Jean-Luc Picard. McDuffie is also an avid reader who spends an unnatural amount of time engrossed in books about nonprofit communications. In her free time she enjoys sewing and sleeping (not necessarily simultaneously).
